The bottom rail features two height settings, the lower setting is 4 inches off the floor, the higher setting the rail is 12 from the floor. One upper headboard will include opening for a straight ladder.  The sturdy queen bunk features 2 full length safety rails, metal to metal connection for structural strength and an under bed slat support system.  This bunk is perfect choice for growing kids, college students & adults as it offers ample headroom between top and bottom bunk, and is designed to easily separate into individual separate beds, when needed. It is also perfect for cabins, vacation homes, beach and lake houses, VRBOs and Airbnb's where space is limited to accommodate a large family or group. DUAL SETTING LOWER RAIL

• Lower rail can be set at 2 height settings

• Lower setting ( 4" off the Floor) creates a headspace of 43" high clearance ( that is the distance between top of Lower rail to bottom of upper rail), with this setting a trundle or drawers CAN NOT BE USED

• Higher rail setting creates a headspace of 35" clearance, with this setting a trundle or drawers will work. Distance between bottom rail and floor is 12 inches

Under-Bed Options:

• NOTE: The under bed storage and trundle can only be used with the higher rail setting only

• If you wish to take advantage of the lower rail setting, the drawers and trundle will not fit

• The under bed storage features 2 drawers and a cubby bookcase

• The under bed trundle feature a faux-3-drawer front, and is available in twin XL and full XL version

• Under bed trundle or drawers are not sold separately and are non-returnable

• The trundle includes 2 removable dividers for storage use
