Back To School Basics: Bunk Beds & Loft Beds
Posted by BM on 21st Jul 2015
It’s that time again! "Back to School" brings mixed emotions in many households. Some parents look forward to summer ending and the children getting back in school while some are saying good-byes to their adult kids as they leave for college. No matter what your situation is, the kids always get excited about furnishing their own rooms or dorm rooms!
Standard Bunk Beds
When children share a room, there may not be space left to create a study or fun area; so bunk beds are a great option since you have two beds for the floor space of one. If your children need a little more sleeping room than a twin over twin bunk bed can provide, you can select a twin over full which is a good choice for an older and younger child or a full over full for teenagers. Most bunk beds come with storage drawers to maximize space or trundles to accommodate your kids’ sleepover guests.
Loft Beds for Space Saving
If you really want to do more with your space, this bed will give you many options; by combining it with a bookcase or a desk, your kid can have a perfect study area with additional storage for personal items. Loft beds are very popular among college kids especially if they are sharing a dorm room. Whether you need two sleeping beds or one, these beds are always a great solution for limited space.
Loft Beds with Futon
Maybe your children like to do homework at the kitchen table, the library, even outside; or they already have a desk area that they love. Or maybe, your college kid is in need of an extra lounge space for relaxation and fun. In this case, why not add a loft bed with futon so they can enjoy their own private seating/sleeping space to have friends over, watch television, play games or have fun?
Bunk Beds with Stairs
When you have bunk beds for younger children, safety is a major concern. If you are worried about your child climbing a ladder, or they are unable to, getting a bunk bed with stairs solves that problem and still gives you the flexibility that a bunk bed can bring. As a bonus, in several sets, the stairs are actually hidden storage space.
Computer Desks and Bookshelves
If you need to add extra desk or bookshelf to your kids' room, we offer many options to create that very important study space in many styles and finish even a place for your kids to display their prized possessions.
Do “Back to School” right this year by giving your child a fresh start with a new room that inspires both studying and fun.
